Trip North: Wednesday

We woke up Wednesday morning and set off for Dove Cottage, home of William Wordsworth. Much of his poetry was written when he lived there in the Lake District, which is understandable because it’s so beautiful and scenic. After Wordsworth’s house, we took a scenic drive around the lake and the surrounding hills.

Later that afternoon we took a ferry across the lake and went to Hilltop Farm, home of Beatrix Potter. We walked around her garden, which looked exactly like a place Peter Rabbit would love to snack. I could almost see him in the cabbage.
